MX Unexpected Downtime
Dear ManiaExchange users,
On the evening of Saturday January 8th, 2022 (CET) a service on our server was abused to amplify a DDoS attack (targeting another server), so our provider shut down our server as an automatic security measure.
Also due to other recent attacks, we decided to thoroughly investigate the situation before placing the servers online again. This is why the sites were down for an extended period.
There are no signs of a data breach with this attack, and no data was lost.
We have taken action to prevent further attacks of the same kind. The sites are back online now and all ManiaExchange services will continue to run nominally.
To show our appreciation for your continued support and to make up for this extended downtime, current ManiaExchange supporters will receive 3 extra days of supporter status.
